Raised locally in the Wood River Valley, Tristan developed a thirst for sliding on snow from a young age. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Human Geography, he returned to Sun Valley. Since then, Tristan has been pursuing his ski guiding and avalanche education career with accompanying courses through the AMGA and AIARE. In the off-season Tristan owns and operates a commercial fishing vessel in Bristol Bay, Alaska gillnetting for Sockeye salmon. When not ski-touring the local terrain, he can be found trail-riding, rock climbing, and pack-rafting within the plethora of local and regional mountain ranges.
