Drew’s fondness for the mountains is rooted in Vail, Colorado, where he grew up. He first came to Idaho while earning a degree in geography from the University of Denver. In addition to working for SMG as a climbing and ski guide, he also works full-time on the Sun Valley Ski Patrol. In May of 2009 Drew took his first course with the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) and and completed his full AMGA/IFMGA Mountain Guide certification in 2015. If not guiding or ski patrolling, Drew is probably traveling the world or exploring the local mountains on his “real good alpine benders.”
