Sara just returned from a backpack trip through the heart of the Sawtooths with two wonderful women from California and Colorado. Starting at Petit Lake and working their way into the Toxaway drainage, they climbed several passes to end up in Redfish Canyon. Along the way they passed numerous alpine lakes, pristine green meadows, and countless wildflowers. From Upper Redfish Lakes they climbed Reward Peak and learned why it received that name – it offers one of the best views in the Sawtooths!
