The Boy Scout Couloir on the Grand Mogul is unmistakable from Redfish Lake. Unfortunately, it’s a long ways from anywhere! Best done when Redfish Lake is solid enough to snowmobile across, it can also be done with an overnight or from the Bench Hut. While the steepness doesn’t match that of other Sawtooth classics, a mid-line rappel ups the ante and tests your mountaineering skills. On fat years, the chockstone sometimes fills in and may go clean.
