Lara grew up in Illinois where she spent her childhood on Lake Michigan and exploring the San Juan mountains of Colorado. She has been skiing since she could walk and is a lover of all things recreation. In 2012, she moved to Montana to pursue an education in wildlife biology which has led to years of seasonal natural resource work surveying some of the natural treasures of the West. Lara is excited to be working year-round in her beloved Sawtooths – as a hiking guide in the summer and as the hutkeeper for the Williams Peak Hut in the winter. If you see her on the trail, she’ll most likely be toting a large pack and an even larger smile.
