Amy grew up in rural Pinedale, Wyoming where her wild-west passion for outdoor adventure began in the Wind River Mountains. In 2014 she earned a BA in the Psychology of Communication and a minor in Outdoor Education and Leadership from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT, and now enjoys living full time in the Sawtooth Valley of Idaho. As a backpacking and apprentice ski guide for Sawtooth Mountain Guides, Amy is passionate about sharing the dramatic beauty of the Sawtooths and surrounding mountain ranges with people from all walks of life. She has guided backpacking trips since 2013 and founded the retreat program for And She’s Dope Too – a women’s collective leading women of all ages and experience levels on week-long educational wellness wilderness trips across Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. During the winter, she professionally skis full-time from remote backcountry objectives to freeride in front of the camera and is pursuing AMGA ski guide certifications. She is also the media coordinator for the Friends of the Sawtooth Avalanche Center.
