Williams Peak Hut Rental

 Availability: Please note that the Williams Peak Hut rental calendar reflects the nights that are available. When planning your stay, your departure will be on the day following the final night you choose. The dates that are grayed out below indicate that NIGHT is reserved at the hut. View the availability calendar below (please be patient if it hasn’t loaded):

  Reserved For Guided Hut Trips: Some or all of these days can be booked for Guided Hut Trips. Please contact us to book them. We release these 1-2 months out if a guided trip doesn’t book.

 Meeting Location: Your group will arrange a time to meet us at the Stanley Ranger Station to finalize paperwork and payment and to receive a hut rental briefing.

 Distance: It’s a 5 mile ski into the hut with a vertical gain of 1600 feet. The route follows a summer hiking trail and there are no snowmobiles allowed.

 What We Provide:

• 20 & 16 foot yurts with wood stoves, kitchen, and bunks to sleep 16
• Firewood
• Fully stocked kitchen with propane stove, cooking and eating utensils
• Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies
• Solar lighting (sorry – no charging for electronics)
• Sauna
• Outhouse with fabulous view

 What You Need:

• Food and beverages
• Sleeping bags
• Hut booties/footwear
• Backcountry ski equipment and avalanche rescue gear
• Knowledge of the current weather and avalanche conditions

 Williams Peak Hut sleeps up to 16 people

 Rates & Reservations:

• $590/night minimum rental fee covers up to 8 people.  Additional people beyond 8 up to a maximum of 16 are an additional $70/person/night.
• There must be a group leader who has been previously stayed at the yurt and has taken a Level 1 Avalanche Course. If no one in the group has been to the hut before, a first-time hut rental orientation is required ($280).
• A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the minimum hut rental fee is required to secure your hut reservation. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the reservation. Hut rental reservations made within 30 days from the reservation date must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

We want your group to have a great time at the Williams Peak Hut! To make your visit, and that of others, as awesome as possible, please understand the following:

 If part of your group is coming in late, please ensure they know how to find the hut. Please refer to the trailhead map in the Forms & Paperwork section. The Latitude and Longitude of the hut is 44.1530, -114.9815.

 Although we love dogs, they are not allowed at the hut for sanitation reasons (drinking water comes from snow melt).

 There must be a group leader who has previously stayed at the yurt and has taken a Level 1 Avalanche Course. If no one in the group has been to the hut before, a first time hut rental orientation is required ($280).

 There is limited car parking available at the Stanley Ranger Station. Please carpool as much as possible. Additional cars can be parked in the pullouts by the Redfish Lake turn or in the large parking area close to Stanley. Both are on Highway 75 about a mile north and south of the Stanley Ranger Station. If you have a large van/RV or are towing a trailer, you will need to park at one of these alternative locations.

 Dead trees are becoming increasingly scarce around the hut. We can only cut firewood outside of the Wilderness boundary which is immediately above the hut. Please help us by being conservative with the use of firewood. Do not keep fires going during the day while out skiing and only light fires in the small yurt at night or when occupied.

 “Check-Out” time is 11 am. Please have all cleaning and departure duties completed before then. If you plan to ski past that time, please have the yurts cleaned out and your extra belongings stored outside of the yurts. “Check-In” time is 1 pm to allow for maintenance. If you arrive early and would like to ski, please leave your belongings in the sauna or the sleeping yurt if it is unoccupied.

 At the request of the U.S. Forest Service, Sawtooth Mountain Guides would like to remind hut renters that drones are illegal in designated Wilderness. The Sawtooth Wilderness boundary is about fifty feet above the hut, and the majority of ski terrain is within the Wilderness.
