SPF 40 is the newest of three crags located on the Sun Valley side of Trail Creek Pass, a scenic dirt road that winds its way through the mountains Northeast of Ketchum. There are now several routes on SPF 40, ranging from easy to moderate (thanks Marc!), which provides a nice alternative to the climbs on the other Trail Creek walls.
Trail Creek is a great spot to climb if basing out of Ketchum – this sub alpine crag boasts quick access from town, fun climbs to learn on, and spectacular views down the valley that divides the Boulder & Pioneer Range high country!
