I just returned from a month of guiding, climbing, and vacation in Chamonix, France! As many of you know SMG guide Marc Hanselman was in charge while I was gone and it sounds like everything was smooth as silk. I guided a variety of different groups and private clients in the Chamonix Valley and in the Mt. Blanc massif, which encompasses parts of France, Italy, and Switzerland. Guiding and climbing in Chamonix, which is the birthplace of both alpinism and mountain guiding, was an experience I’ll never forget and certainly a rite of passage in my guiding career!Erik Leidecker
