This is a 1 hour presentation covers basic concepts and skills related to backcountry travel and avalanche awareness. A first step into backcountry skiing education and great for anybody who is new to the backcountry, has never taken a class before, or is wanting to eventually take a level 1 avalanche course.
A follow up field day at Bogus Basin Ski Resort offers exposure to some of the fundamental skills necessary to have when backcountry skiing.
