Mt. Borah Climb

Climbing the summit ridge of Mt. Borah Rising to 12,668 feet, Mt Borah is Idaho's highest summit. Located in the Lost River Range, Borah looks over the Pahsimeroi and Big Lost River Valleys, and offers spectacular views of the surrounding central Idaho landscape including the Pioneer and White Cloud Ranges.

Our route will be a 5,500 foot ascent of the regular West Ridge which is primarily a non-technical hike and scramble, although a long day is required to safely make the ascent and descent. Be ready for Chicken Ridge, an exciting traverse of the most exposed section of the climb. Participants should be in good physical condition with prior experience with strenuous hikes. Ski poles are great addition to cushion the rattle on the knees during the descent.

If our scheduled climb on the Summer Calendar doesn’t fit your schedule, then contact us to arrange a custom climb.
