Melting snow means the high country is good to go

It’s quite apparent looking up at the mountains surrounding Stanley and Sun Valley that there is little snow left in the higher elevations. A light winter combined with the recent heat wave has put us a few weeks ahead of our usual melt cycle, allowing access to alpine basin and passes that would normally be snowed in until mid-July. Perfect timing too, as the mountains have been providing a welcome respite from the valley heat.
