April 12, 2013 Backcountry Skiing, Corporate Trips, Ski Mountaineering, Williams Peak HutThis past week, SCOTT Sports and a host of media folks/gear testers joined Sawtooth Mountain Guides for three days of backcountry hut skiing and ski mountaineering at the Williams Peak Hut. Cold winter powder on the north aspects and fairly stable conditions lead to a frenzy of couloir hunting. One group did a new Sawtooth trifecta: Resurrection – Big Fatty – There and Back Again. Another did a circumnavigation of Williams Peak, while others skied themselves silly in springtime powder. What better conditions to test SCOTT’s latest skis, clothing, and helmets? A group exit via Goat Creek made for an excellent finish to a fantastic trip!Check out the photos…click to enlarge! Home sweet home Warm up run on Skiers Summit Goin Couloir Huntin! Indecision!
